Professional Scholarship
We have a number of scholarly papers present on the site, examining GGK’s novels from The Fionavar Tapestry to The Lions of Al-Rassan. Further submissions by academics of previously published papers or articles relating to GGK’s work are welcomed.
Student Papers
GGK’s books are now being taught on courses throughout the world. Students who have written papers relating to GGK’s works are invited to submit them to the site, and teachers who have taught such courses are invited to send in their syllabuses. Undergraduate papers that achieved a grade of B+ or above will be accepted for the site, and will be clearly marked as such, and graduate papers will be looked over by the Bright Weavings Scholarship Panel, who will accept the papers or make recommendations for improvements where necessary.
The Annotated GGK
This page of annotations consists of short reflections on some of the themes and sources of GGK’s works, ranging from a compilation of the Fionavar/Finavir grace notes that appear throughout GGK’s books to a look at possible sources of inspiration for some of the mythic figures in The Fionavar Tapestry and Tigana, to an observation on the parallels between Signe of Arbonne and Galadriel of Lothlorien. If anyone has annotations to contribute, please do send them in.
