This one is a shame, actually. A clever and creative publisher (Neven Anticevic, of Algoritam) had two artists do this, one working on the desert lion, the other on the stained glass inset. The clash of cultures is brilliantly evoked – in theory. Unfortunately, it is too hard to see what is going on, unless one opens the book up to see the full wrap (Deborah has made it possible here – click on the image) and the title type is too hard to read. I was impressed by and grateful for the imaginative and careful reading that went into this, however. — GGK
